In the compartments with flowing sea water you'll find the real treasures of MFH – several different kinds of oyster, sea urchin and shellfish, from ever-popular scallops to more “exotic” options, suh as “sea fists” (surf clams) and arkshells.
MELTCER FISH HOUSE has been described as “a local restaurant with a city-wide grandeur.” This isn't just one of the oldest restaurants in the Chernaya Rechka neighborhood, it's also the only fish restaurant north of Krestovsky Island. Originally having opened in 2009, the restaurant was recently renovated by the Paum Design bureau. The cozy interior has become lighter and more striking, and in the center of the room, as well as the aquarium that was previously there, there is a special aqua-system for live seafood.
Igor Meltcer is well-known in the restaurant community. The famd Khali-Gali club that he founded here in the Chernaya Rechka neighborhood was a real legend on the St. Petersburg scene. Numerous French chefs worked at his restaurants Zov Ilicha and Matrosskaya Tishina (now La Perla), and Meltcer himself has long been a connoisseur of Mediterrenean fish cuisine and white wines.
